The Crystal Theater
This brick structure was built in 1912 by William Gould. The building
was three separate businesses. On the right end
of the building was the
Gould Jewelry Store, the mid section of the building was a Dried Goods
Store, and the left end of the
building was the Crystal Theater. We purchased the
Theater building and will move my Hair Salon into
this building.
Extensive remodeling needs to happen prior to
moving the business into the space. The building was
used by various non-profit groups since the 1970's.
Below is a photo from 1914, showing the inside of
the theater. There were box seats on the side walls.
The only theater seats remaining, are in the balcony area.
They are not original, they date back to the 1940's. The seats
in the balcony now have cushions on them, where the original
seats had all wood.
At this point we have most of the "remodeling from the past".
torn out and are ready to start with the addition of the new
furnace system.
