Moving for a third time
This big white house has served many purposes.
It started out as a parsonage for
St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. It was
built in 1887. When the church decided to build a new parsonage, the
house was moved to Glencoe by Harold Dircks, It was located on a lot
behind the hospital around the early 1980's.
When the hospital wanted to expand with a large addition, they
purchased the Dircks property and wanted the house moved off.
We bought the house and moved it onto the empty lot next to
my business. It was completely redone "up to code" and transformed
into two apartments.
We have purchased a lot one block east of the current location and
once again will move this house. Once moved onto it's new foundation,
we will add a third apartment in the basement.
Anyone need a place to live?
