Sean Taylor grew up in Homestead, Florida with his grandmother for the first ten years of his life. At age ten he moved in with his father, Pedro Taylor, in Pinecrest, Florida. Sean started his high school career at class 6a Miami Killian High School.
Shortly after, Sean transfered to much smaller Gulliver Prepatory School(2a) so he could play both offense and defense. In 2000, Sean led the team to a Class 2a Flotida State Championsip. He shined on both sides of the ball. Sean rushed for 1,400 yards at running back and recorded over 100 tackles at defensive back his senior year.
Coming out of high school, Sean was ranked the number one athlete in the country. He received offers from almost every division 1 school in the country. Luckily for Miami, he decided to stay close to home.
