Jason Yerke's final lab

Picture of the webmaster

My name is Jason Yerke. I am the webmaster for the pages at http://sandysancestors.taja.org I created this site as a final lab for an HTML class that I am taking. I am currently pursuing my CST (Computer Service Technology) degree at Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, MN. The idea for the website was to honor my wife's Native American heritage since she is related to Crazy Horse. I myself have a Native American background and the tribe to which I am related is the Choctaw Indian tribe. They are located in southern United States (Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana and Georgia). Choctaw are of the Muskogean linguistic group. The word Choctaw may derive from the Castilian word chato, meaning "flat". The Choctaw were descendants of the Mississippi Culture and Hopewellian people, who lived throughout the eastern part of the Mississippi River Valley and its tributaries. I have been interest in the Native American ancestry for a very long time. Since beginning this website I have learned many fascinating, wonderful and different thing which has only seemed to fuel more interest in the subject.
