The Driver

     The biggest thing that will affect your game is your selection of driver, especially for that first throw. However, there is a multitude of discs available to you and a reasonable amount of manufacturers. The major companies include Innova and Disc craft, however there are many more and you can get an idea of how many there are at the PDGA Manufacturer Contact List. It's a crazy amount as you can see on the PDF. Crazy Right!

The bottom disc is a Driver, The middle is a Mid, and the top disc is a Putter.

As you can see there is certainly a difference between the discs, particularly the edges of the discs. The sharper the edge like the bottom disc tends to indicate a driver, and with a driver you can get some distance. The closer you can get to your target the better. But you have to know your discs flight pattern. Every disc has a unique flight pattern due to how the disc is thrown and its' own aerodynamics.
