Fred Heidecker

I have been a mechanic since I was old enough to hold a wrench. Career 1977- Hutchinson Area Vocational Technical Institute with a degree in Auto Mechanics in 1979. Started working at WD Enterprises after school. I then was a partner with Crow River Auto and Truck Repair for five years. I owned TNT Automotive from 1983 until 1989. Then I worked Champion Auto from 1989 until 1997. From there I went off to Valley Chevrolet until 2004. I have also had the opertunity to work for Tangen Ford in Litchfield for four years. After Tangen, I got a job offer at Jay Malone in Hutchinson. I was there for 3 years until I got a great job opertunity to work for Holt Motors in Cokato, MN. I have been there for three months.
My wife (Wanda) and I have been married for fifteen years. We have five children. Tim and Terry (twin boys), I have two girls, Mia and Lyndee and the third son is Fred Jr.
Racing has been a big part of my life since I was a little child. I started in high school with
drag racing. I then decided to try dirt track racing where I won numerous awards. I stared out with Hobby Stock, went to B Mods, and currently race IMC Modifieds. I have raced at Arlington Race Way, Kandi Race Way, Madison, Redwood falls, Fairmont among others. In 2012 I will be running in Boone, Iowa.
