DSE Alpha

DSE Alpha is a planned mission to deliver the first space tourists to the moon in 2015. This mission plans to use the earths orbit to launch the rocket at the moon, and trap the rocket in the moon's orbit. This has 2 plans. The first is a 9 day plan that goes to the moon and back. The other plan is to do that, but spend a lot of time in the International Space Station. Each ticket costs about 150 million dollars.

openluna

OpenLuna

Openluna is another private company that is working towards moon related goals. This is a private company that is working under an opensource idealogy. The goal is to eventually create an open outpost on the moon, which will be open to anyone who wants to use it for any reason. It involes a multistep mission plan to accomplish this goal, and is set to launch the first steps in 2014. This mission will involve very small satellites to start gathering information.
