Paul Burchill started off tagging up with William Regal. They were a fairly good tag team, they beat other
various tag teams, but they never were able to win the Tag Team Championship. Eventually, Burchill was sick
of how bad Regal was treating him, and he decided to become a singles competitor. He told Regal that his great
great great grandfather was a pirate, so Burchill decided that he would become a pirate too. Regal kept telling
Burchill that he would be a complete laughing stock, but that wasn't the story at all. When he came out as a pirate,
everybody was cheering for him because they loved his new gimmick. He would have a long fued with Regal, beating him
in almost every single match.
He continued to win match after match until he went up against Mark Henry. Henry is a lot bigger that Burchill, and
he completely destroyed him in the match, giving Burchill a sidelining injury. As of November 13, 2006, Burchill
is still recovering from his injury, and hopefully he will return soon.
