Modding is taking a piece of hardware and modifying it to be unique and stand out. In most cases modding refers to case mods, but there are other hardware mods out there, often call hardware hacking. Here is a collection of worthwhile mods I've found over the last week, some of them are my own, but most of them were created by much more talented individuals.
This is one I did. It is an 80 mm fan mount that fills two 5.25" drive bays. It is designed to cool up to 3 hard drives.

This is another one I did. It is the controller ports from an original Xbox that I modified to plug into an internal USB header on the motherboard. So I have Xbox controller ports on the back of my PC, they work with any game that supports controllers. And for the games that don't support controllers there is software available to make it work.
