We as a board felt we should give you an update as to what is happening with our sewer project. I had been visiting with Gary Danielson
about keeping the project moving and keeping on a time schedule, so he brought it to the County Commissioners. They scheduled a hearing
to be held at 9:00 AM on the 24th of September in the Kandiyohi County Human Services building. Gary thought it would be a good idea to
have an informational meeting to answer any questions before the hearing. That informational meeting will be held in the Westby Building
at Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center at 7:00 PM on the 23rd of September. Please bring any question and concerns to that meeting
so they can be addressed. We as a board feel we are on the schedule as outlined by Bolton and Menk Engineers. Kandiyohi County will be
sending a notice to everyone.
Last week we received the Lake Florida Directory and you should have received your copy by now. If for some reason you have not received
you copy, please contact one of the board members. To help us keep this directory up to date, please tell Ted Olson of any address changes.
If a place is sold, please let us know of the new owners so they may be included in the next directory.
We have set the date for the 2nd Annual Lake Florida Picnic. We again will try to have everything you will need, food, drink, plates, etc.
All you need to bring is your family and lawn chairs to sit on. This will be held on September 10th at the farm site in the Hidden Springs
area. This is where it was held last year. We are looking forward to having a good time visiting with everyone. Serving will start at noon.
I look at our lake as being a nice big family and sometime we over look our neighbors. Just a reminder, be considerate of your neighbors
and help them when you can.
