Keith Alexander the Beatles #1 after 99 fan

Bottom

(George Martin)

They played through a lot of things they'd been doing in their repertoire. It wasn't a question of what they could do ,because they hadn't written anything that was great at that time, but they had great personalities. They had a great way with them, and they charmed me a great deal. They knew Iwas the guy who made all the Peter Sellers records, and they were all fans of that sort of humor. Well John,George, and Paul, that is.Pete Best, who was also part of the group, was very much the background boy. He didn't say much at all. He just looked moody and sullen in the corner. George,I suppose, was probably the most vociferous of the lot,but they were all very good.
